About CD Calkins
Diane Calkins is always looking for new painting techniques to convey her ideas. Blending abstract and realism, she uses color and shape to create compositions that explore the joy in what she sees in what is familiar.

Raised in Denver, Colorado Diane has been working in and around the business of art most of her life. She has used her creativity in the printing industry designing and creating artwork for CD Graphics, a printing/graphics business she and her husband own.

After graduating from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree she continues to paint and study art and color techniques. Diane has attended classes at the Art Students League of Denver, Foothills Art Center, Red Rocks Community College and a plein-aire painting trip to France with Arapahoe Community College.

She enters and been accepted into numerous juried shows, including Colorado Watercolor Society Exhibits, (where she is a Signature member), the Summer Art Market at the Art Students League Denver, and the Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Show at Evergreen Art Center.

She is also a member of the Georgetown Gallery in Georgetown, CO.

Diane's paintings are in numerous private collections around the country and England.
